Brake kit choices for the Audi S3 (8Y)

For the Audi S3 Limousine (8Y, 2021), most kits are front kits: AP Racing, Akebono, Alcon, Brembo, Endless and TTSPORT, with 4- to 10-piston calipers and recommended rotors from 286 to 420 mm. Rear kits use Brembo 4-piston calipers and 380 mm rotors, built on genuine Audi or Cadillac calipers made by Brembo.

Front kits add genuine Audi calipers made by Akebono and Cadillac or Ford calipers made by Brembo. Nearly every kit uses brackets made for the S3; front kits also include OEM-style direct mount, bolting to the factory caliper mounts.

With the rotors we recommend, front kits need 16- to 21-inch wheels; a few work with 17 inches or less, and most need 19 or more. Rear kits need 19-inch wheels. Spoke shape and offset matter too, so send your wheel details if unsure. Rotors come in high-carbon steel or carbon ceramic, with racing high-carbon steel also offered up front. Track kits are front only.
