Matching a brake kit to your Golf 8
Front kits for the Volkswagen Golf 8 (MQB EVO, 2021–2026) cover 286–420 mm rotors, with 4-, 6-, 8- or 10-piston calipers from AP Racing, Akebono, Alcon, Brembo, Endless and TTSPORT. Rear kits, from Brembo and TTSPORT, carry 4-piston calipers and 355–380 mm rotors.
Fitted with the rotor we recommend, a few front kits need only 16- or 17-inch wheels and some need 18 inches, but most need 19 to 21 inches. Rear kits need 18 or 19 inches. The fit also turns on spoke shape and offset, so give us your wheel details if unsure.
Most kits include brackets made for the Golf, and a front kit is OEM-style direct mount, bolting to the factory caliper mounts. Some kits use genuine Audi calipers made by Akebono or Brembo, or genuine Cadillac or Ford calipers made by Brembo. Rotors come in high-carbon steel, carbon ceramic or, up front, racing high-carbon steel. Most kits are street kits, with track kits at the front.
